Order & Decency
Ushers at Immanuel Lutheran Church help to maintain the order and decency that God desires in the worship services (1 Corinthians 14:40). Ushers serve by greeting worshipers at the door, handing out the worship materials for the day, collecting the church offerings, and helping to bring people forward for Holy Communion in an organized fashion. They also help in the dismissal of the worshipers at the end of the service. Ushers respond to any emergency situations that may arise when the congregation assembles for worship.
